A Baby Quilt for Natalie

This quilt only measures about 33" x 33".  For a baby girl with a mama that didn't want just pink and purple. The fabric is mostly Oh Deer! by Moda. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the red thread for the quilting, but it turned out nice.

Bugs in Jars

Bug Jar or I Spy Quilt

This quilt was probably a bit ambitious for a beginner, but I wanted to do it! Isn't that all the motivation we need sometimes? Now it's not perfect, but I worked hard and am pleased with how much I learned along the way. It was probably around my 5th or 6th quilt. I will have to find the name of the pattern.

I love the way the little beetle turned out. You can see how dense the quilting is between the jars.

All of the little animals were paper-pieced

I'm kinda in love with paper-piecing.  This was also one of my first several attempts with free-motion quilting.

I made up this part to the pattern. I love books.

I love my kids.

WIP Tulip blocks

Welcome to my first blog post!

This is part of my long term project.
I love everything about this.

paper pieced
colorful
the green stars.

I'm linking up at Freshly Pieced!
Any ideas on final quilting?

This is for my king size bed. I'm figuring I will need about 400 of these. The individual tulips are 6 inches.
