Made by Two Grandmas

This quilt was a joint effort between my mom and my Grandma for my firstborn. Do you recognize the triangles? I made the pyramid star quilt from these leftovers. Haha, and yes, the scraps made a bigger quilt than the original. I think this was my moms first completed quilt, with Grandma's help.

It is hand quilted. I love how there are a couple tiny spots of dried blood on the back from pricked fingers. Weird? Maybe.

And I love the prairie points.

My mom just laughs because her mom couldn't fathom that these could be baby colors.
See, my mom and I are birds of a feather. We Iike bright and it was and is perfect!

Pyramid Star Quilt Finished

I'm been busy, busy, busy! This special quilt has been done for a while, but I'm just now getting around to blogging about it.

It's spiral design is a bit tricky. I'm not 100% pleased with my job of it, but my mom loves it so it's alright.

I did a scrappy binding with fabric that reminded me of my mom.

I'm linking up to Crazymomquilts and Link-a-Finish Friday.
